New Zealand Ecological Society
The New Zealand Ecological Society Inc. attempts to encourage ecological research, increase awareness and understanding of ecological principles, promote sound ecological planning and management of the natural and human environment and promote high standards both within the profession of ecology by those practicing it, and by those bodies employing ecologists.
2008 Conference: Unitec New Zealand campus, Auckland, from 29 September to 2 October 2008, with a student day on Sunday 28 September.
2010 Conference: The Society's annual conference for 2010 was held in Dunedin from 22 to 25 November. It was highly succesful and with well over 350 attendees, was the largest conference the NZ Ecological Society has had
